Toast Monster with Flu

The poor Toast Monster has a flu so the little bird flu by to cheer him up. I thought Friday I got the first flu this year but luckily that was not the case. Knock three times my head, made of solid timber, that I wont have any this year (happily 14 days left 2007)!

Swamp Witch

It's weekend so let's take a ride in ghost train first cart! I stumbled upon a Jim Stafford song in Youtube about a swamp witch living well, on swap where the strange green reptiles grow. It sounded so great I wanted to draw something about it immediately. This swamp witch though looks just like my recent dreamful zombie. Well, maybe it runs in the family! :)

Dreamful Zombie

I don't draw much horror, but today I got the sudden inspiration from the near-by's Kinopalatsi movie theather's Beowulf posters. I really like the story of Beowulf (and has there ever been a cooler monster name than Grendel) and I can't wait to see the movie. First I wanted to do the Grendel, then the monster turned out mysteriously very femalish (ok, Grendel's mother then) but finally what I got in front of me was a dreamful zombie. Well can't (and shouldn't) really argue with monsters, a wishful dreaming zombie then it is :) Maybe he is dreaming of brains, eeeaaggh!!! Icky.

Kappa in the Rain

A kappa, water sprite from japanese folklore. Quite a troublemaker and has an appetite for human flesh. If kappa captures you, you might save your life bowing him. He's very polite, and will bow you back, which causes the liquid on this head run away, leaving kappa weak.

The great plush Cthulhu puppet, behold! I even have all the fancy factory tags intact on him :) He's a ruler of my work desk.

Gary Oldman is the best Dracula ever!

The vampires won't leave me alone! When I was in lukio (finnish high school), there was one girl who dressed up as the Gary Oldman's Dracula in our vanhojen tanssit (senior prom dances). I think her costume was one of the most stylish things I've ever seen!
